Housing Opportunities

Affordable housing options are essential for communities to thrive.

In any thriving community, there must be places for all types of people to live, work and play. Home for All believes that we thrive when we are a community of individuals, enriched by diversity, working together to make the Seacoast a home for all.

When affordable housing is integrated into community plans, neighborhoods will flourish. Homelessness will decrease. Essential workers will not be priced out of the communities they serve. Vibrant communities that are dynamic and inclusive of all types of people cannot risk omitting a plan for readily available affordable housing.

Home for All supports efforts to increase the supply of affordable and deeply affordable on the Seacoast. While the development of additional affordable and deeply affordable units is needed more than ever, the process often requires a great deal of funding and time on the front end, with no guarantee of a project’s approval.

To address more immediate needs, Home for All focuses efforts on increasing affordability within the existing housing stock by working directly with rental property owners, landlords and municipalities to develop and implement strategies that mitigate risks and provide incentives for earmarking units as “affordable”, accepting Housing Choice Vouchers, and working directly with local social service organizations to move individuals and families into permanent, affordable housing.

Home for All also organizes and hosts regular opportunities for rental property owners, managers, and landlords to come together and learn about subsidy programs, available resources, and creative ways to earmark units as affordable.
