Where did you grow up and how did that experience shape you or influence the path you followed in life?
I grew up in Newport, NH which is a small and scrappy town brimming with community and character. One of my favorite things about growing up in Newport is how the community comes together to have fun and celebrate, but also to support each other through tough times. This really shaped my path into community organizing and fighting for a NH where everyone can thrive.
Why do you think affordable housing is important now?
As a young person, I know firsthand how difficult it is to find an affordable place to rent, nevermind even think about buying. Fighting for more affordable housing is important because everyone deserves a roof over their head and a safe place to live, and because everyone deserves the chance to thrive and get ahead, not just survive.
