SEACOAST AFFORDABLE HOUSING WEEK 2027

What is Seacoast Affordable Housing Week?

May 15–21, 2027 | Seacoast NH & Southern Maine

Seacoast Affordable Housing Week, is a region-wide series of events designed to bring communities together around solutions to the growing housing crisis facing the region. The week will feature a dynamic lineup of action-oriented events including community conversations, business and civic gatherings, educational programming, arts-based engagement, and storytelling initiatives.

Events will be held across communities in Seacoast New Hampshire and Southern Maine, creating accessible entry points for residents, employers, policymakers, and advocates to engage in solutions addressing housing needs across the continuum, from emergency shelter to workforce housing.

A special thank you to our returning 2027 Affordable Housing Week Presenting Sponsor:

Educational Sessions: From Conversation to Action

In 2027, we're planning a series of at least five one-hour educational sessions, with the potential to host up to ten throughout the week. Sessions will generally take place in the morning or during the lunch hour to make participation accessible to working professionals and community members.

Our goal is to move beyond identifying housing challenges and focus on practical solutions, innovative approaches, that can make a difference across the Seacoast.

Topics We're Exploring

The following topics are intended to spark ideas, not limit them. We welcome proposals that explore these areas or introduce other perspectives relevant to our region.

Beyond the Silos: Tours & Community Events

Some of the most meaningful conversations happen outside a meeting room. In addition to educational sessions, we're looking for opportunities to bring people together, explore local projects, and experience housing solutions firsthand.

Housing & Community Tours

Help us showcase the people, places, and projects making a difference across the Seacoast.

Potential opportunities include:

  • Tours of affordable and workforce housing developments.

  • Visits to shelters, supportive housing, and community resource programs.

  • Walking, bicycle, or trolley tours exploring housing, transportation, and neighborhood development.

  • Behind-the-scenes visits to innovative housing projects or adaptive reuse developments.

Social & Community Gatherings

Not every Housing Week event needs a formal presentation!

We welcome creative ideas for informal gatherings that encourage connection and conversation, including happy hours, community hikes, garden parties, networking events, art experiences, and other opportunities to bring neighbors together.

Have an Idea? We'd Love to Hear It!

Whether you're interested in leading an educational session, hosting a tour or community event, or simply sharing an idea, we invite you to help shape Seacoast Affordable Housing Week 2027!

Invest in the conversations + connections that strengthen our Seacoast community!

Affordable Housing Week is made possible by the businesses, organizations, and community partners who believe that housing is foundational to a thriving Seacoast.

Sponsorship helps us bring accessible programming to communities throughout the region, support creative events and educational opportunities, and reach more people with information about housing challenges and solutions.

Whether you're looking to support the entire week or a specific program, there are opportunities to make a meaningful impact.

2026 | Our First Year!

Made Possible By Our Community

May 11–17, 2026

Our inaugural Seacoast Affordable Housing Week brought together businesses, nonprofits, housing organizations, artists, municipal leaders, and community members for a week of events, experiences, and opportunities to engage with housing across the region.

From behind-the-scenes housing tours and community conversations to brewery trivia, art installations, and local fundraisers, the week demonstrated that there isn't just one way to participate in building a stronger, more connected Seacoast.

2026 was just the beginning. We're excited to build on it in 2027!
