About Us!

The Greater Seacoast Pop-Up Care Villages (PUCV) is an initiative designed to meet the basic needs of homeless and housing-insecure individuals while offering pathways to long-term stability. Inspired by the farmers market model, these pop-up villages rotate across Rockingham and Strafford counties in New Hampshire and Southern York County in Maine, ensuring broader access to essential services.

The PUCV initiative led us to find other organizations offering similar services. One of them is Lavamae, a San Francisco non-profit that has been providing mobile shower services since 2015. They developed a comprehensive toolkit that laid the foundation for our Greater Seacoast Pop Up Care Villages.

Each event also plays a critical role in collecting data about unhoused and housing-insecure community members. This information:

  • Provides local insights into unmet needs

  • Supports funding applications for service providers

  • Strengthens partnerships with municipalities, helping align resources with real needs

By listening to the voices of those we serve, we can develop more effective, community-driven solutions.

A Data Driven Approach

Addressing Barriers to Access

The PUCVs were developed based on input from local service providers and outreach efforts. Our goal is to overcome the common challenges faced by vulnerable populations:
